I have thought about this film a LOT since I originally watched it. I thought the rewatch would lead to more enjoyment due to an understanding of how bits in the first part link up to the second, and it does, but the real revelation is how much I was able to appreciate some of the scenes and performances when you’re no longer trying to piece seemingly unrelated things together like a puzzle. Watts is especially good.
